Prof. Dr. Veysel Tuncay, İstanbul’da kâr amacı gütmeyen bir özel hastanenin sahibidir. Hastane, borçları yüzünden zor durumdayken, doktorların bir kısmı istifa eder. Tüm ömrünü hastalarına adamış bir insan olarak, yıllarca emek verdiği hastanesinin kapanmasına gönlü razı olmayan Veysel Bey; hastaneyi kurtaracak bir ekip kurmaya karar verir. Türkiye’nin farklı yerlerinden bir araya gelen beş doktor ve beş farklı hayat vardır artık. Dertleri, aşkları, başarıları ve hırsları onları ne kadar farklılaştırsa da; hepsinin tek gayesi vardır aslında, o da: "hayat kurtarmak!"
