In a comedy blackout, Alvin (Sonny) and Laverne (Cher) discuss the TV show at their local bar. 3. ""Beauty and the Beast"" -- Cher appears as King Kong's jealous sweetheart. 6. Tommy and Dick Smothers try to convince a stuffy bank employee (Barbara Eden) that they are heirs to the estate of the late Howard Hughes. 7. Gossip columnist Rona Barrett shares a Washington exclusive about a bionic Senator and his wife (Shields and Yarnell) who are entertaining a foreign dignitary (regular Ted Zeigler). 8.
