In de nieuwe dramaserie 'NOOD' worden vier centralisten geconfronteerd met de meest uitzonderlijke noodgevallen die ze onder grote druk moeten afhandelen. Elf aanstormende scenaristen schreven elk een op zichzelf staand verhaal waarin 112-centralisten Lieke, Bilal , Joyce en Boudewijn bellers te woord staan in telefoongesprekken die verre van alledaags zijn. Gesprekken die je nooit in je leven hoopt te hoeven voeren, maar die voor de centralisten aan de orde van de dag zijn. Altijd beginnend met diezelfde, geroutineerde vraag: "wat is de plaats van het noodgeval?" Vanuit de perspectieven van de meldkamer en de beller worden ter plekke beslissingen genomen die het verschil kunnen maken tussen leven en dood. Ieder gesprek is een gevecht tegen de tijd.
