Journalist Mike Harway besluit zijn vriendin Christine te helpen in haar zoektocht naar haar vader, professor Baker, die op mysterieuze wijze is verdwenen. Het onderzoek brengt hen naar Afrika, waar ze worden gevangengenomen en naar het verlaten fort El Faium gebracht. Het herbergt nu een laboratorium dat is ontworpen door de verwrongen geest van Devilman, die ervan droomt zijn natuurlijke brein te ruilen voor een kunstmatig brein dat hem perfect zal maken.
