人間やエルフ、ドワーフなどが共存する平和な世界アゼロス。だがある時、滅びゆく異世界ドラエナーを捨てたオーク族がアゼロスに侵攻を開始した。人間たちは強力な魔力を持つガーディアン、メディヴの力を借りて来るべき戦いに備える。そんな中、アゼロスの騎士ローサーは、人間とオークのハーフであるガローナと出会い、戦争を避けようと試みる。2人は同じくこの戦いに疑問を抱く高潔なオークの戦士デュロタンに接触する。
