Una emocionante pelicula de aventuras en espectacular Technicolor, es la que protagoniza María Montez en el año 1947 “Piratas de Monterrey”. California 1840, los realistas partidarios de la unión con España, intentan derrocar a los presidenciales mexicanos de Monterrey con la colaboración de un yanki de Missouri. El capitán Philip Kent, un soldado de fortuna y su amigo el sargento Pío, viajan desde la ciudad de México a Monterrrey en una misión secreta. Por el camino se encuentran con dos mujeres, Marguerita y Filomena que acaban de perder la diligencia. Kent acepta a regañadientes acompañarlas pero pronto se enamora de Marguerita.
