2000, a provincial town. Employee of the Prosecutor's Office Eremin knocks down on his car ran out to the carriageway of children. After the trial, Zgoyev publicly threatened Yeremin, he tries to escape during the detention, and he is wounded. Kamenskaya does not believe in his guilt. Together with Dotsenko, they go to the very city where Eremina lived many years ago.
