Čtrnáctiletý Freddy vypadá jako obyčejný kluk, ale není obyčejný a není ani úplně člověk. Patří do starého rodu vlkodlaků a těší se na svou první proměnu ve vlka. Je trochu potrhlý, ale až se stane skutečným vlkodlakem, bude se z něj vážený člen smečky a jednou velmi obávané monstrum. Stejně jako jeho otec a jeho děda i praděda. V tu velkou slavnostní noc první proměny se ale něco zvrtne a Freddy se změní v ne příliš dravého ani moc hrozivého, zato ve strašně moc rozkošného... pudla.
