Many university students in Beijing hail from regional areas and can often find life in the city both expensive and isolating. The 706 Youth Space was created to provide an independent, non-faculty environment run by students from various universities. As well as providing inexpensive accommodation, events are held which give students a chance to exchange their views regarding both lifestyle choices and academic subjects.
